Empowering others is a crucial aspect of the role of frontline supervisor. • Identify strategies for enhancing the ability of staff to feel empowered to conduct their job responsibilities with an appropriate level of independence and confidence.

• Describe methods for motivating the workforce in a relevant and meaningful way.
• Describe steps for utilizing role modeling as a technique for empowering staff.
• Recognize the stages of group development and the importance of creating a fully functional team.
